Scott Dorval, Chief Meteorologist, KIVI-TV Channel 6

Meteorologist Scott Dorval is best known as 'The Weather Expert' in the Treasure Valley. He was the area's first degreed TV meteorologist, and is the only main weather forecaster in the Treasure Valley who has a meteorology degree. Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology in 1986 from one of the most prestigious programs in the country at Penn State University. He earned his American Meteorological Society's seal of approval in 1989 and is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.

Scott moved to the Treasure Valley in 1991 after working at stations in Rhode Island and Connecticut. He has forecast the weather and called the Treasure Valley home ever since.

Scott's wife Saurah is a native of Weiser and they reside in Meridian with their young son Jett. The Dorvals enjoy taking advantage of Idaho's natural beauty, including skiing, whitewater rafting, and traveling Idaho's scenic highways.

Scott is also active in the community, donating his time to work with numerous charitable organizations in the valley such as The Salvation Army, Idaho Special Olympics, The Idaho Foodbank, and the Red Cross.
